The Lexus of Brisbane Group believes that supporting our community is integral to running a successful business. The mission of the Lexus Owners’ Gift is to support an organisation, group, individual or cause that is working to help build, shape and improve the community of South East Queensland.
Our history
Each year, the Lexus of Brisbane Group would traditionally send small Christmas gifts to our owners. In 2005, many owners instead suggested a different approach; redirecting the funds for these gifts toward a charitable cause. This idea led to the creation of the Lexus Owners’ Gift, allowing owners to contribute to initiatives that make a meaningful difference in the community.
Every three years, a number of causes apply for the gift and after much consideration, the Scifleet family personally make the selection based on set criteria, whilst keeping our owners at the forefront of the decision making process.
The Lexus Owners’ Gift is much more than a one-off donation. The successful cause is afforded the opportunity to heighten their exposure through the Lexus Owners’ network and to promote their charity at select Lexus sponsored functions.
Sponsorship conditions
- All sponsorship request applications must include a letter comprehensively detailing the need for the project. Copies of relevant supporting documentation should also be included in the application.
- Projects for which support is sought must specifically and directly benefit the South East Queensland community.
- Lexus Owners’ Gift funding must be for specific items and not for general or central funds.
- Copies of all quotes must be included with this application and should not exceed $100,000 over the three-year partnership period. All materials and goods should provide the best value for price.
- Requests may be submitted from 1st May to the 30th October with a decision made in November.
- The applicant is responsible for the proper and efficient administration of and accounting for all funds granted.
- A “FINAL REPORT” containing a complete accounting for the funds and copies of publicity and photographs of the project must be forwarded, within one month of completion of the project, to the Lexus of Brisbane Group.
- The completed project must include signage acknowledging support of the Lexus Owners’ Gift.
- All decisions made are final.
