Lexus Owners' Gift

The Lexus of Brisbane Group each year supports a charity on behalf of our owners, which has been aptly named ‘The Lexus Owners’ Gift’.

History behind Lexus Owner’s Gift:

Each year, Lexus of Brisbane traditionally sent a small Christmas gift to our owners.  2005 was a year of overwhelming natural and human disasters, most of which dampened our spirits and caused us to question humanity.  Instinctively we drew our loved ones close to us in protective embrace. With these events in mind, more and more of our owners suggested that they would prefer the money which was  allocated to the  gifts to instead be put towards a charitable cause; hence the formation of the Lexus Owners Gift.

Every  year a number of charities/causes apply for the gift and after much consideration, the Scifleet family personally make the selection based on set criteria, whilst keeping our Owners at the forefront of the decision making process.

The Lexus Owners' Gift is much more than a one-off donation.  The successful charity/cause has the opportunity to heighten their exposure through the Lexus Owners’ network and to promote their charity at Lexus sponsored functions and in-dealership events.

Lexus Owners' Gift Sponsorship Criteria:

Aligning our business operations with community values is an essential part of our company.

Whilst we would love to support all causes, unfortunately that would only serve to dilute the funds given to each project and we believe that we will be of greater help to support one main cause every year.

As such, certain criteria must be met in order to align with the vision of the Lexus Owner’s Gift. It is important that you read through these criteria to ensure your group/organisation is eligible for sponsorship before applying.

  1.  All sponsorship request applications must include a letter comprehensively detailing the need for the project. Copies of relevant supporting documentation should also be included in the application.
  2. Projects for which support is sought must specifically and directly benefit the South East Queensland community.
  3. Lexus Owners' Gift funding must be for specific items and not for general or central funds.
  4. Copies of all quotes must be included with this application. All materials and goods should provide the best value for price.
  5. Requests may be submitted at any time during the year, but a decision will be made in October of every year.
  6. The Applicant is responsible for the proper and efficient administration of and accounting for all funds granted.
  7. A “FINAL REPORT" containing a complete accounting for the funds and copies of publicity and photographs of the project must be forwarded, within two months of completion of the project, to Lexus of Brisbane.
  8. The completed project must include signage acknowledging support of the Lexus Owner’s Gift.
  9. All decisions made are final and are not based on whether the organization is a Lexus customer or not.

 

Lexus Owners' Gift will not support the following:

  • Travel, tours and conference attendance are not eligible for sponsorship.
  • Sponsorships will not be granted to organisations already receiving funding from other car manufacturers/Dealers.
  • The program does not support projects planned for outside of South East Queensland.
  • Activities or events where profit raising is the main objective are not eligible for sponsorship.
  • Sponsorship will not be granted to individuals.
